Christmas is getting closer by the day, so it’s time to look for some Christmas presents for family and friends. The wooden figurines of Mark Giglio embody all the things I love in an object; they are fun to look at; they are interesting, they have multiple uses, and they are unique! Two of his collections stood out for me. First ‘The Forest of Woods,’ which is scrap wood, turned into a forest. The second collection is the ‘Kokeshi,’ figurines made of wood colored in fun colors. Each doll has a different character that can be seen by its shape and color. To me, they are full of emotions and unique personalities.
