MD Townhouse is a renovation project in Copenhagen, Denmark by Danielle Siggerud Architects. The architects made sure to keep a balance between the past and the new intervention. As a result, this 1600s townhouse turned out to have a modern aesthetic yet timeless design. Important characteristics of the original building are maintained such as the rough wooden beams and columns as well as the arch-shaped windows. The furnishing is very elegant and it’s almost like you walk into a styled photoshoot for a magazine. The modern furniture in neutral tones and minimum color use, and the combination of wood with marble blend beautifully. The natural light filtering the rooms amplifies the calmness of this design. This is a very cozy house with outstanding attention for detail.
